MOVE 2010: A Benefit for CARE

MOVE 2010: A Benefit for CARE

Over 375 young professionals gathered at Tribeca hotspot Greenhouse for MOVE 2010: A Benefit for CARE.

Guests spent the evening enjoying beats by DJ Shaun Pazel, dancing, and trying their luck at prizes such as an Apple iPad and a Kindle. DonQ, Redwood Creek Wines, and Cape Ann Brewery provided complimentary beverages. The party continued until the early hours of the morning at Bubble Lounge, where guests enjoyed complimentary food and mingled.

Dr. Auma Obama, who works for CARE in Kenya, addressed the crowd. She spoke to the powerful impact of using sports as a way to empower kids — particularly girls — to become leaders and leave poverty behind. MOVE 2010 raised over $20,000 through ticket sales, gifts, raffle, and sponsorship from MediaCom and Global Health Strategies – proving once again that young professionals have the skills, resources and passion to make an impact in the fight against global poverty.
